2022 CMT Scholorship

Dear Senior Class Students:

The CMT Cattlemen will be award scholarships to outstanding eligible students in 2022. The field of agriculture is always in need of well-trained graduates. Agriculture occupations are vital to our agricultural community.

Applicants must be residents of Columbiana, Mahoning, or Trumbull County. Ranking criteria of applicants for award will be children or grandchildren of active association members, course of study (Ag or Ag related degree then, other fields of study), existing or previous CMT ambassadors, academic merit, financial need, and other extracurricular activities

The recipients will be chosen by June 1st and will receive a scholarship funds upon proof of enrollment.

Terms

Scholarships will be awarded each spring to offset educational costs for the following school year. The applicant must be a full-time student planning on attaining an undergraduate degree for a 2- or 4-year accredited college, university or trade school recognized by the Cattlemen.

Application

The attached application must be completed and returned to the Scholarship Committee no later than May 5th of the current year. A current transcript is required to complete the application, as well as the signature of an authorized school representative. Recipient will be notified either in writing, in person by a member of the CMT Board of Directors or at the school’s awards assembly.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Applicants must be a resident of Columbiana, Mahoning, or Trumbull County. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors. Students may reapply the following year provided they are pursuing undergraduate studies and have maintained a grade point average of at least 2.5 after the first year.

 Ranking criteria of applicants for award will be children or grandchildren of active association members, course of study (Ag or Ag related degree then, other fields of study), existing or previous CMT ambassadors, academic merit, financial need, and other extracurricular activities. The scholarship recipient will be chosen in by June 1st of the current year. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the CMT Cattlemen Board of Directors.
